so much older then
to be discarded,
too much older to begin again,
dumped hello,
goodbye now
much older then
brokedown half full mind palace
patched with malice,
decks of cards
missing pairs and aces
this sterile bard
present and lifeless,
my ashes fill this corporeal urn
this pyre of ice,
fire and flesh
twice born
then twice razed
this time younger now
heading for a hunger,
distracted by possibilities
shadowed by hints of light,
banishing strange constellations
this time around
this time continuous miracles
of shining electric streetlights
illuminate audacious candy stores,
cathartic youth-smashing teeth
trash truth,
deplore order,
younger here
now breathing air underwater,
exploring gibberish
while blowing past contrived borders
this splash painting forming
colors me now
drawing from what came before,
burgeoning into a fervent rainstorm
of busy being born,
now younger now,
then older then,
a rebel endorsing
a mirror confronting a mirror
now rekindling once deserted possibilities
