Francine’s Epiphany

spies feverishly involved in their clandestine operation

moiled the night away

perfecting their collective plan of action

their leader, Francine,

who worked part time as a lithe ballerina dancer in some

Alabama all-night club,

had festered a predilection to initiate a crime,

and sat patiently perusing through her colleagues’ modicum of half-witted ideas

then at dawn

when asked to share their boondoggle,

the troupe could only manage vociferous babble,

incontritely, 

determined yet hoping to emerge for meaningless air

as infrequently as possible

and when

Fran at last epiphanied,

the entire operation was terminated ,

as the plan clearly reflected

a persiflage of penniless puny panderers
