As noted on the home page, I've decided to allow Paladins and Cavaliers of all alignments except Neutral (mostly because it would be a pain to make rules regarding opposing alignments and such). The rules as written regarding 'law' and 'evil' can be read as 'law/chaos' and 'good/evil', so a Lawful/Evil paladin can Detect Good, and they must avoid Chaotic acts most stringently, and so on.
Below is a list of each of the leaders of the organizations of each alignment. Note that paladins are hard to qualify for and fairly rare, and there are not very many. There are, of course, 'unaffiliated' paladins, who are not connected to any of these groups. They would be somewhat hard to find, if one were searching for such a person, as they probably are not interested in being part of a group.
Lawful/Good - A Bahamut worshiper who can be found at the temple of Bahamut in Aertael, his name is Nicholas Mauconvenant DeKnightly. His father's family, the DeKnightleys, has for generations served the crown in various high offices; they are also land owners of some note, holding many farms, pastures, forests and mines all over the country. His mother's family, the Maucovenants, own a number of trading ships that sail the ocean from Attellaria to points north as far as Folaria and west as far as Dacia. He lives in Caepal, and can usually be found there; his order of knights profess to various of the lawful/good deities, and number about a dozen. Typically at least half of them are in the city. His second in command is a young man named Wyatt Waggoner.
Lawful/Neutral - A Nike worshiper named Lydia Wallbridge. She comes from a merchant family of no particular wealth, but has risen to be one of the most powerful paladins in the country. She rules a large cadre of more than twenty paladins. She and most of her followers are army officers and knights. While she encourages her followers to worship Nike, less than half of them do; the others worship the other various L/N deities.
Lawful/Evil - A Mictlantechulti worshiper named Sibyl Hethersett. Sibyl actually comes from Lyda, but she left the country as the main religion is Celtic, and there are very few of her faith to be found there. She knows that she must moderate her evil actions, at least publicly, and makes quite a show of how her faith is more a celebration of the afterlife, rather than the cult of death that it really is. She has about two dozen followers, only one of which is a follower of Mictlantechulti; the others are mostly either Set or Surtur followers, with one Dispater follower. None of them profess to follow Tiamat; such a faith might well get one killed in this country.
Neutral/Good - A Frey worshiper named Nicholas Giffard. His family has served in the royal army for generations, although he is the first to be a paladin. He lives in Belegram, and most of his coterie can be found there. He has about twenty or so followers, of various deities. They patrol and guard the great forest, and are very knowledgeable about goings on there.
Neutral/Evil - A Hades worshiper William DeHainfault. William's real name is Bill Jameson; he is the son of a farmer who had six children. He invented a background as a soldier of fortune after he had spent some time in the army, and then as a guard in Northton. He found the rules and regulations of the army to be too stringent and weak, and found in Hades the kind of ethos he could admire. He has a cadre of a dozen or so followers, none of whom follow Hades - most worship Hel. He and his followers mostly use threats and intimidation to keep the townsfolk in line, but they know they can't be as harsh as they would like to, or the government would come down on them pretty hard. As such, most of their threats and bullying are empty and ignored.
Chaotic/Good - A Magni worshiper named Wackraet. He lives in Aertael, spending a lot of his time at the Magni temple. Unlike many paladins, he makes no pretension of nobility or wealth (although, like many high level adventurers, he has accumulated quite a bit of the latter). He has perhaps 20 followers, all of whom are in peak physical condition, emulating their deity - unlike all other other groups of paladins, the Chaotic/Good group is exclusively one faith.
Chaotic/Neutral - A Mannanan worshiper named Sinill Mormaer. Sinill lives in Port, and her cadre lives in the town; while it's a smaller group (only about ten), most of them are Mannanan worshipers. They are known for signing on to sailing vessel crews, either as guards or officers, and being gone for months at a time. She comes from a middle class merchant family from Port.
Chaotic/Evil - A Yeenoghu worshiper named Nanseglos. He is the youngest son of a minor noble; originally he sought to join, as a postulant, the Neutral/Evil paladinhood, but he found their views on the balance between law and chaos to be too restrictive. He has a couple of dozen followers, but few of them seem to actually be paladins, most are the children of wealthy dilettantes or minor nobles, who merely pretend to be bad so they can hang out with Nanselgos, who receives a large monthly pension from his family to stay away from them (a respected old noble family, though a smaller one and only moderately wealthy, the Tarths).
