Note that a bard gains no hit dice until their bard level exceeds their highest other class level.
Bards always attack as a fighter of their bard level, but only get the specialized weapon rate of attacks for the fighter level they attained. This can change if a bard reaches legendary levels (24 and beyond).
Beyond level 23, bards continue to improve in their Charm and Legend Lore powers, gaining 5% on each ability per level. In addition, they gain a Legendary Power at each level after 23.
Legendary Abilities
A. At level 24, bards improve the rate of attack for their specialized Fighter level into the next category of rate of attacks.
B. At level 25, bards age more slowly, aging only six months per year that passes.
C. At level 26, bard legend lore applies to any magic item, not just the list from the Player’s Handbook.
D. At level 27, bards may charm with their voice in normal speaking, instead of having to sing and/or play an instrument. This is not a magical effect, so it cannot be Resisted, and the target gets a -3 on their save, meaning a 4 or less always fails.
E. At level 28, bards can cast level 6 druid spells. They can one level six spell per day for every level after this.
F. At level 29, bards improve the rate of attack for their specialized Fighter level into two categories of rate of attacks.
G. At level 30, bards can cast level 7 druid spells. They can cast one level seven spell per day for every level after this.
H. At level 31, bards gain the ability to teleport at will through any sort of plant growth, to any place they are familiar with, with no chance of error. This travel cannot, however, cross planes.
