Unhappy at the birth of a daughter, her father left the baby on a hillside where she was found by a she-bear whose cub had died. When she was young, hunters found her and took her into the "civilized" world. As a young woman, she joined a medical corps of the Attellarian army during the Kax-Koth war and her medical skills saved several important officers. As a result, she was made a Knight Initiate. Several years later, still in the army, she was present at the funeral of the slain Finarfin warriors when demons and undead sprang up amongst the mourners. During the ensuing battle she acquitted herself well, and afterwards her quick work saved the lives of several badly wounded nobles, earning her the gratitude of the Crown and a promotion to the second order of knights.
As such, she knows nothing about her family.
