13 - Vilya meets her identical sisters, Narya and Nenya, and it is revealed that she is actually the emboidied power of the Elven ring of power she thought she was named after. Through the power of the Empress, she releases the power and recreating the ring, leaving a level zero human behind. Arioch army besieging Shintapoor City defeated with the power of all three rings.
During this time, on the outer planes, the fragile balance between the gods that suvived the Judgement War collapses, and there is a battle where many of them die. This day is referred to as the Balance War.
Most of the surviving deities have actually been meeting in person, to try to stop the war and negotiate the new rules under which they will relate with the prime material plane. The negotiations amongst the temples and the gods have continued. Some progress is being made. It looks like the gods of good will be granted free reign over small towns; the gods of evil will have supremacy over the humanoids; the gods of neutrality will be able to go anywhere, but never in numbers greater than half of the largest good or evil temple. In cities, there can be only ten temples, with the smallest two being forced to close every ten years, after which two new temples may open, via a process of negotiation with the existing temples.
Conner is invited to join in telepathic rapport, so as to give everyone guidance on how their deities wish them to negotiate. The rapport can be extended to anyone who desires it, via powers granted by the host gods of neutrality. Apparently, many of the deities brought along various servants and guards, and the negotiations are being viewed by many temples.
The characters find themselves awed (no saving throw) to be viewing a gathering of many gods. The cleics, druids, etc. all gain a level of experience in the applicable class while viewing this meeting, unless their god is not present. The effect will last for one day per level after the viewing ends. In addition, each will feel a store of energy, that they can trickle out or use all at once, to enhance the power of their spells or other actions. This is not an exact feeling – it might do an extra point of two of healing on a cure spell, or it might allow utter destruction of undead with turning, or the like. The only way to find out just what will happen is to will the use of the power.18 - The unwieldy plan, slowly approaching a useful form, is shattered. On the second day, as the gods are gathering in a great golden chamber, each on a throne suiting his or her size and nature, a bloody bundle is seen lying on the floor in the center of the chamber. Modi picks it up, and opening it, holds up the mangled body of Baalzebul! He has been stabbed with small blades, beaten with a blunt instrument, and clawed by something. Modi pulls a large plant spike of some kind out of Baalzebul’s shoulder blade. No deity admits to witnessing the act, and no information is forthcoming. The lawful/evil gods accuse the neutrals of setting a trap to slay them all. Everyone witnesses what ensues.
On the neutral plane, things get out of hand quickly, and the Lawful evil gods Dispater, Geryon and Tiamat accuse the halfling gods of the killing of Baalzebul. Brandobaris, Sheela, Cyrolalee and Avoreen draw weapons (daggers, toothed vines, staff and short swords) and form a defensive circle. Inanna, Surtur, Hecate, Set and Mictlantechulti join in. Isis calls out for them to stop, but they ignore her.
The evil gods surround the four halfling gods, and all of the latter attack Hecate – Avoreen with a blur of short swords, and Cyrolallee, screaming “Oathbreaker!” strikes with a staff. Sheela is surrounded by a wall of wickedly barbed, animated vines, which rip and tear at the evil gods, and Brandobaris disappears for a moment, reappearing behind Hecate with a knife in each hand, driven into Hecate’s back. Surtur hurls a ball of flame at Brandobaris, who is hit from the other site by similar attacks from Dispater and Geryon. Brandobaris erupts in flame, and quickly burns to ash. Tiamat and Set attack Sheela, alternately rending and stabbing, and the goddess is ripped to pieces and flung about the chamber. Hecate dies, literally cut to pieces by Avoreen, and Mictlantechulti leaps on Cyrolalee with his bare hands streaming wisps of black energy. Everything he touches rots or rusts, and within moments, he has slain Cyrolalee, though he is severely beaten by her staff in the effort
Many of the gods – including, notably, all of the non-true-neutrals – immediately flee, but others join in the fight. In the chaos, and at the speed that gods fight, few details can be noted, especially with twenty or so fighting, but the following is noted.
Athena is killed by Jubilex and Arioch (mostly by Jubilex). Jubilex snatches up her dropped items.
Donblas and Tefnut kill Ishtar. She explodes in a flash of light, leaving nothing behind.
Jubilex disappears.
Tlazolteotl kills Dunatis, then is slain by Modi. Modi turns towards Tefnut.
Arioch disappears.
Bast and Hanali kill Bes.
Surtur and Inanna kill Anhur. They each snatch up items from Dunatis and Tlazolteotl.
Surtur disappears.
Mictlantechulti kills Hephaestus, takes his gear, then disappears.
Ki and Silvanus kill Hanali. Silvanus takes his gear.
Ki disappears. Inanna disappears, after taking Anhur’s gear.
Modi and Set kill Tefnut; Modi is severely wounded. Set then kills Modi, and snatches his gear.
Silvanus disappears, after grabbing Bes’ gear.
Bast and Donblas moved toward Set, who disappears, leaving behind his High Priest. Bast kills the priest. The telepathic link is broken.
At this time, it is learned that the being behind the attack on Shintapoor, and the cause of the fight where the gods died, was Arioch!

5-8 - party with Empress of Shintapoor. Each independent character (not henchmen) receives a generous reward from the Empress, including a home or disused temple (all their deities are dead), the rank of Daimyo (equivalent to Baronet, a non-inheritable title), 200,000 gold, and their choice of a book of any ratings point! They were also offered training of various types, appropriate for their class. They are invited to parties held by various nobles, and given lavish gifts; these are followed by polite requests for help from their new friends. They agree to kill a giant of some sort that has been terrorizing an area near the city.

24 - learn that Erok has been arrested. He had been bragging about helping to kill Arioch, apparently in the hope that he could die in battle against powerful Arioch followers; he was despondent that his deity, Modi, had died in the Judgement War. His plan almost worked; he was attacked in the street by a gang of men, but he managed to kill them all, even one who had reportedly surrendured.
25 - meet with lawyer and alchemist and chemist to discuss defense.
26 - no encounter
27 - trial of Erok. Apparently everyone involved knows that the outcome will probably be banishment, as imprisoning or executing a hero of the war would be very bad - riots have begun over less. Several of Erok's friends testify in his defense; an alchemist performs a test that apparently shows he was using poisoned, which would have driven him mad (it was later determined that she falsified the result; she was an Arioch sympathizer, and hoping to get him off so he could be murdered). Several other witnesses for the prosecution seem to be plants, whose stories contradict each other. During deliberations, it is learned that Arioch warriors have been attacking all over the major cities of the country, and this is considered sufficient evidence to reduce the charges, and Erok is banished from the country for a year. The party accompanied him, and were with him when a powerful cadre of Arioch worshipers attacked. They defeated them, but were unable to saver Erok, who died in the fight. Among those slain was former player character Sethius Soulcrusher; Cymoril, fiancee of the emperor of Calendriahn, Cirle; and Cirle himself! Cymoril evidently had powerful magical spells in place to bring her back to life, as she has been heard of in early 1165, but the emperor and his other allies have never been heard of again. Also present was the alchemist from the trial, Tarmelion Magnus; she died in the battle.

16 - fight Voorhees, Cirle's dragon, in the ruins of Calendriahn City. The city was on fire, and rotting corpses littered the streets. The city swarmed with Clakar, Kelmain, Dharzi hunting dogs, and even the Assassinator of the Gods had to be defeated before the party reached the palace. In the palace, they fought Voorhees, a horribly powerful mage dragon, and a cadre of mist giants, by putting a very powerful enchantment on Siobhan, making her into a combat juggernaut. They recovered Cirle's spell books from a succession of magical traps, looted a vast array of magic, and left the city to burn.
