The high priestess of Surma, Aino, will offer the players power granted from Surma. They may have their choice of any one of the below. The warrior culture of this country would view being rewarded with money or magic items as insulting, for what could be a greater honor than to be bestowed power directly from the gods?
Blessing of steel - Surma's power will flow into one item belonging to the character, making it stronger. They can choose a simple increase in the plus of the weapon (not limited by metal type, but no higher than +5), or their choice of just about any magic-user or cleric spell, up to fifth level, which may be cast once per day from the weapon. Exceptions include those which require a significant material component to be consumed, or which age the caster.
Blessing of the Quiet Death - Surma's power will flow into the character, giving them the ability to assassinate once per week, with one specific weapon type, and not including body parts, as if their highest level were Assassin. This will of course require the target to be unaware of the attack.
Blessing of the body - Surma's power flows into the character, raising their choice of one physical rating (strength, dexterity, constitution, comeliness) by one point, but no higher than 18.
Blessing of the mind - Surma's power flows into the character, raising their choice of one mental rating (intelligence, wisdom, charisma) by one point, but not higher than 18.
Blessing of the vanishing - Surma's power flows into the character, granting them the ability to become completely undetectable for up to a turn, once per week. They will radiate no alignment, magic, body heat, smell, mental presence, or anything else that could be used to detect or contact them. They could still be touched or otherwise affected by anything in their area.
Blessing of life - Surma's power flows into the character, granting them the ability to create an aura with a one turn duration, once per week, with a five foot radius around them that causes the first healing spell to go off in that area to flow into them instead. This is not controllable, and will happen even if the character is at full health, or the spell is cast by an ally.
