This campaign started in year 1143, Eighth Age. I've kept a calendar with some light notes of each day's events ever since. There will be a sub-page for each year. As we get closer to current events, the notes will be a great deal more detailed, as I started writing up game notes on the computer and keeping them.
- Origin of the group. Based at Finarfin castle, they adventure in the nearby wilderness and in Silver Eagle dungeon. Characters sometimes die before being named, so you will see names of real people. Some players gave their characters silly names when they rolled up characters they didn't like much.
- As I move off to college, a number of new players join the game. Adventures around Finarfin continue. A bit more wandering the wilderness takes place.
- Essentially the same as 1144; overlapping games show me running my game at home during holidays and the summer, and going back to school and running games for different groups.
- Very much the same as 1145; a great deal of play by Brack and Eran. Brack builds Kir-Har.
- Adventuring in the wilderness primarily, exploration onto east continent, and around the continent of Pendria. A few new players.
- The group is still based out of Finarfin, most adventuring is in the wilderness. Some world exploration continues. Late in the year, some players move to Luingroth.
- Many in the group now live in Luingroth, which was cleaned out of monsters, and the property split between a group of dwarves that had already been living there and working on cleaning it out, and the players and their henchmen; continued exploration of the wilderness, and delving deeper into the dungeon.
- Late in the year, the group find a map to an artifact called the Heart of Darkness, which they manage to find all the parts for, assemble, and use, dimming the output of the sun by about one percent. The artifact disassembles itself and scatters its parts around the world. Otherwise, another year of exploration and dugeon-delving.
- This year seemed to mostly consist of dungeon adventures, deeper and deeper, reaching level 13 at times. Numerous deaths resulted.
- This year was almost entirely dungeon adventures, until December, when the Cold Spawn invasion from the south began.
- The cold spawn invasion is wrapped up, and the group makes an enemy of cambion demon Baron Ilkasiar.
- No major events this year, a few new characters, mostly dungeon delving.
- Group finds and destroys a major evil temple early in the year, and wipes out a small army led by Eithan; the rest of the year is mostly dungeon delving.
- Mostly dungeon delving, some new players; in December, the group tracks down the Tomb of Mithgar and kills everything inside
- Mostly dungeon adventures. Paraswarm and Mourngrym research spells.
- Much dungeon and wilderness adventuring. The battle of the Temple of Lake Nurnen takes place, a single fight that took three gaming sessions, followed by one session that consisted of nothing but identifying and dividing up loot! Kibbles makes her first appearance, which puts this around 1991 or so.
- A shortage of diamonds, caused by massive use of diamond dust for Stoneskin, drives the price of diamonds up tenfold. Much wilderness adventuring.
- Mostly wilderness adventuring. The group finds Baba Yaga's hut, and regrets it. They also learn that getting too close to Queenslair is a bad idea. Late in the year, they meddle with powerful forces in Gonnsraal, stepping (unknowingly) through the body of a Time Elemental, and are shifted six months into the future.
- The players arrive in March. The year starts with fairly typical wilderness exploration, until in September when the creator god Eru awakes, and begins to purge most of the other deities! He is defeated only when all the surviving 50 or so gods band together and attack him in his lair. Later in the year, the group defeats a Set priest, Paraphyse, who has turned traitor to his temple, as a quest that Conner was sent on by his high priest.
- A very busy year. The group goes on a mission to rescue Jet's father from drow imprisonment in February, are harassed by a demon bounty hunter in March, solve the mystery of a killer graveyard in April, kill Bradnar in June, destroy a lich's anti-magical island lair in August, and learn of a plague that has killed most of the kobolds in the world, cure it and save a handful of surviving kobolds in late August, re-energize the Spire of Center in September, travel to Shintapoor to aid in a war against Arioch in October and help Donblas destroy him, kill Emperor of Calendriahn Cirle in November, then kill Cirle's dragon steed Voorhees in December.
- The group investigates a magical cave on Calendriahn, frees Colbey Calstinson and Laufey, and reads the Book of the Wolf Age, invades Jotunheim and steals Frey's sword from Geirrod in January; helps heal the near-dead Thor in February; have their chaos powers taken by Primus in July; liberate Euryale in August; trap or kill Charnas and Fandral in September; track down Felimid Mac Fal in November so Siobhan can read a powerful tome; and attack a Jubilex temple in December.
- The group finds and walks the Path of Power in January, find and empower the Sword of Amra for Hazor in February, discover the world's last Power Gemcrafter and save him and his village in March, prevents a cataclysmic volcanic eruption in May, travel to Shintapoor to calm ravaged nature spirits for Iblis in June, and spend the rest of the year training at Wizard's Island with Eliste and her associates. Siobhan has a baby in November.
- The players close a demon portal in February, and rescue the intended bride of Bahamut the king of good dragons doing it; later that month, they defeat a powerful illusionist named Kandrelion, who has been draining power from Magni (thought to be dead), and are rewarded with (among other things) a deed to the Temple of Balder (definitely dead); the players become embroiled in an old feud between the country of Attellaria, the temples of Tiamat and Bahamut, and Eliste the archmage, when they destroy an earth monster created by Ogremoch and find the bones of Eleanor Trask. This leads to them learning a great number of secrets of Attellaria, including that the last three kings were assassinated by an agent of Tiamat, because the king has a powerful artifact that, if destroyed, would weaken forever Tiamat's power on the prime material plane.
- Travel to Helghan. Arouse the ire of a primordial spider, which precipitates several attacks by spiders of various sorts.
