You must no longer remain an adult cry-baby
When you come to God for a miracle
God is not pleased with the prayer life of most of the older believers today--- adult believers who have become children of God for many years.
Instead of being mature in their faith walk, they remain as adult cry-babies before God.
They do not pray with faith in His word in Mark 11:24, and without faith it is impossible to please God.
And without faith, God cannot do any miracles on our behalf.
Hebrews 11:6
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Matthew 9:29
29 Then He touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith let it be done to you;"
30 and their sight was restored.
When a baby boy is born, for the first year he will just cry when he is hungry, and the mother will breast-feed him without hesitation, at any time of the day or night.
When he is one year old, he will cry for food when he is hungry, at times even outside the set times for meals, and the daddy will gladly feed him and see him grow stronger and bigger.
This is the cry-baby stage of a new-born child.
The parents give to the boy whatever the boy needs even when the boy cries without reason, and even when he dirties his pampers and shorts with pee and poo.
It has nothing to do with the boy trusting his parents or obeying his parents.
He cannot even communicate with his parents properly.
This cry-baby stage is seen in the life of a new believer in his first few years of being a child of God.
God gives him all the miracles he needs in spite of his weaknesses.
The new believer may be asking God without faith at all, and may still have many besetting sins in his life, yet our merciful Father will bless him.
However, when a child is seven years old and is able to communicate with his parents with reason, the parents expect him to obey them and to trust them.
At this stage, if the child asks the daddy for a bicycle for his birthday 3 months ahead of the event, the father will happily say "Yes, my son."
The child will feel happy too on hearing his daddy's promise.
The child is now a mature child in the area of trusting his father's word.
If the child believes the father's word, on the following morning, he will say this to the father, "Daddy, Daddy, thank you for giving me a bicycle for my birthday in 3 months time."
And if this child keeps on thanking his father every day for the bicycle the Dad has promised to give him, his father would be very pleased with him.
And if the child tells his neighbours and friends, "My dad has given me a bicycle for my birthday that is soon coming," the father will be very delighted with his son's trust in him.
Such a child is now mature in his faith in his daddy's promises, a child who trusts the Father.
Mark 11:24
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you HAVE RECEIVED it, and it will be yours.
This is how God wants all adult believers to relate to Him and His promise in Mark 11:24 in the area of prayer.
God wants us to believe that the very moment we ask Him for a blessing, the miracle has been given to us.
And we must believed that we HAVE RECEIVED our miracle the very moment we asked from God.
If we have matured to this stage in our prayer life, we have become mature adults before God in prayer.
However, if the child wakes up the next morning and asks the Father again for the same thing, saying, "Daddy, Daddy, will you give me a bicycle for my birthday in 3 months time," how would the father feel?
The daddy would explain patiently to the child this way:
"I promised you yesterday that I would give you a bicycle for your birthday in 3 months time.
I will keep my word to you.
I have never broken my word to you.
You must trust me.
Please do not ask me again."
However, if this 10-year old boy keeps on asking the father every morning for the next 3 months the same question: "Daddy, Daddy, will you give me a bicycle for my birthday?" it just shows that the child does not trust the word of the Father.
It looks cute if he were to ask such a question repeatedly when he is only 3 years old.
However, it is a tragedy when he is 7 years old and he keeps asking his daddy such a question again and again every day.
The father will be very unhappy with the boy and will not give him the bicycle until the boy learns to trust and to honour the father's words.
Such a boy is an adult cry-baby.
Most old believers in the church today are adult cry-babies when they come to God in prayer to ask God for something.
They keep asking for the same thing everyday.
They never believe in Mark 11:24, where it says that the very moment we ask something from God, He gives it to us right away, and we must believe that we HAVE RECEIVED it.
And because they ask without faith in His word, God will not manifest His miracles in their lives.
Mark 11:24
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you HAVE RECEIVED it, and it will be yours.
Therefore, in these last days, whenever we come before God, we must not come before God as adult cry-babies.
We may sound godly and holy with our cries in the sight of man, but our crying is without faith in His promise in Mark 11:24.
Our prayer time becomes a holy show that deceives ourselves and displeases God (Hebrews 11:6).
Our prayer time becomes a ritual where we repeat the same requests daily without believing that God has already answered
And because we never believe that God has given us whatever we asked, the very first time we asked of Him, we will not begin to thank Him for our miracle every day.
And because we do not believe that we have received our miracle already,we will also never have the faith to declare and decree that our miracle has come (Mark 11:23).
This is why our miracles will not manifest when we come before God as adult cry-babies.
Instead, when you need a miracle from God, come before Him as adult mature believers, who trust in His word that whatever we ask from Him, He has given it to us that very moment.
And we should then decree and declare that the miracle has come.
And we should then begin to thank Him every day for giving us that miracle.
A TESTIMONY
MY SON FINALLY CALLED AFTER 27 YEARS OF SILENCE
Sister SM :
"About a year after I heard the testimony of the sister whose son finally called her after 15 years of silence, I also desired the same miracle for myself.
I have a son who has not talked to me for 27 years.
I gave him away when he was born because I was not able to look after him at that time.
I had contacted him many times on his hand phone number, but he never responded.
"So I asked the leader of our Monday night prayer group to stand with me in prayer for my son to communicate with me again.
The leader prayed and asked God to forgive my son of all his sins, and to touch him and change him so that he is a good son to his mother and that he will contact the mother.
"After the prayer, the leader taught me to declare and to decree:
'God has forgiven my son.
God's spirit is moving in my son.
My son is a good son.
He will contact me.
He will visit me.'
"I kept on believing and decreeing God's blessings over my son, and kept thanking God for answering my prayer.
I did not doubt in my heart that God will do what I declared concerning my son.
After 2 weeks, he called.
It was so good to hear his voice after 27 years.
After that, he would continue to call me at least once every week.
All glory be to God for His faithfulness.
Hallelujah!"
Comments (Brother Andrew):
1. The sister above had been a Christian for over 5 years when the miracle above took place.
She had been healed of severe heart disease when she first came to know Jesus and she knows the power of prayer.
2. She would have prayed for her lost son to reconcile with her, but no breakthroughs came over the previous 5 years.
3. The miracle manifested only after she believed in Mark 11:24, believing that she has received her miracle the very moment she asked God.
Because she has believed that she has received her miracle, she then had the faith to decree and declare that her miracle has come, without doubting in her heart.
4. Again, we see here that it is not God's people who are waiting for God to answer their prayers.
Instead, God has already given us His miracles the moment we asked Him (Mark 11:24).
It is our lack of faith in His word in Mark 11:24 that stops our miracle from manifesting in our lives.
However, at the very moment we believe that we have received our miracle and begin to declare and decree the miracle, like the sister above, the miracle is manifested by God in His perfect timing.
5. Before she received her miracle, for many years she cried to God like an adult cry-baby, without faith in God's word in Mark 11:24.
But the very moment she comes to God as an adult mature believer who believes in Mark 11:24, her miracles manifested.
6. For the first few years of a young believer's life, God releases His miracles to him because he is a spiritual baby in God's eyes.
He does these miracles even though he still has lots of sinful attitudes and habits in his life.
7. For mature believers, God has been giving miracles to them even though they do not come to God with faith in Mark 11:24.
God does this to them, not because of their faith, but because He is full of compassion and takes pity on them, as they coming crying daily to Him for the same miracle.
8. However, the age of adult cry-babies is over.
God will no longer listen to us when we come to Him without faith in Mark 11:24.
Instead, God is raising up the end-time generation of kings and priests who know how to rule and reign with Jesus on this earth through their prayers and decrees because of their faith in Mark 11:24.
