liberty
Liberty
You unbound me
When you found me
Lost and hopeless
Tired and stressed
And I could hardly
Draw a breath
From feeling so oppressed
I felt so dry
I had to cry
Lord, help me I don’t want to die
And I don’t want to live a lie
So you said child,
Just come to me
I will satisfy your thirst
I will meet your deepest need
And take away your very worst
But I need to change you first
Just follow and believe in me
Begin to trust, begin to see
I’ll give you life abundantly
For I am limitless and free
You came to me
Unashamed of me
Trapped in pain
And misery
You lifted me
And set me free
To live in truth and liberty
Then you said child,
Just come to me
For I know what you really need
And I will make you free indeed
And take away your very worst
But I need to change you first
Just follow and believe in me
Begin to trust, begin to see
I’ll give you life abundantly
For I am limitless and free
(Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him,
"If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
John 8:31-32)
