PhD Project
Studying the effect of the new generation radiofrequencies (5G) on human physiology by investigating the dermal electrical and cerebral metabolic activities along with the electrocardiogram monitoring of the tested subjects.
The use of wireless communication has become increasingly important. This technology, which is based on electromagnetic fields (EMF), is now ubiquitous and has a great influence on our lifestyle. Over the years, it has rapidly evolved from moderate frequency signals, called, second generation (2G) to higher frequency fourth generation (4G) signals; allowing faster data transfer. Currently, the fifth generation (5G) is being implemented in different countries and has already been applied in some of them.
Today, this technology is essential and required in all aspects of life, leading to higher rates of exposure to radiofrequency and electromagnetic fields, and thus, raising the uncertainty surrounding its potential effects on public health.
Therefore, the objective of my Ph.D. project is to assess the effects of exposure to a radio frequency electromagnetic field (EMF-RF) generated during the use of 5G, at regulatory levels, in humans; by carrying out a clinical trial on healthy volunteers and evaluating different physiological parameters.
