Apprentice engineer project
The aim of this work training program is to make the use of these PBPK models more accessible for researchers as well as regulatory agencies. Ultimately, it will help to assess exposure to substances in order to protect human populations in terms of health.
In 2010, the experimental toxicology and modeling unit published a reference PBPK model, which follows a human organism throughout his entire life. Since then, many versions have been developed to adapt to the different behaviors of substances. The objective is the creation of a unique PBPK model applicable to a maximum of chemical substances. To do this, the multiple versions will be collected, updated, annotated, compared and united.
The second goal is the programming of an interface to graphically represent the dynamics of the model's predictions : VICKY. This graphical interface will allow to visualize the temporal evolution of internal concentrations predicted. It will include 3 tools : A table and graph of substance concentrations in organs as a function of years and a animated diagram of the human body. Intensity color of the human body organs represent concentration levels.

Work training program at INERIS (National Institute for the Industrial Environment and Risks)
Use of mathematical models estimating the diffusion of a specific substance in the human body. Combination of 17 models to create a generic model. Programming of a graphical interface for displaying the results.
