Biographical Notes: Lincoln Murray was the only son of John Lincoln Murray and Mary Ellen Murray, of 48 Church St., Masterton, New Zealand.

Etaples, France (1917-1918)
Lincoln enlisted on 30 May 1916 at Featherston (Wairarapa), aged 20 years. His last residence was Masterton (Wairarapa). He was recorded as being 5', 7" tall with a dark complexion, brown hair and blue eyes. He was admitted to the Featherston camp hospital on 10 August 1916 after contracting measles. His next of kin was Mr John L Murray (father), Church Street, Masterton.
He died in Etaples, France of wounds received in action.
