2nd Heavy Anti-Aircaft Regiment Signal Section. It was formed from 2nd Medium Regiment in May 1941. They crossed the Atlantic on 'SS Pasteur' in September 1941, arriving at Gourock, Scotland on the 26th. It took up a full operational role in Essex in Janury 1942, taking over anti-aircraft sites on the north side of the Thames Estuary from Tilbury to Southend. It then moved to Colchester in July 1942, where it trained for a more mobile role. In the end, with a reorganisation of artillery overseas, the 2nd HAA Regiment was assigned to the British 107th Anti-Aircraft Brigade, which served in Northwest Europe under command of First Canadian Army.
