USDA Rural Development State Director Bryce Luchterhand has announced the recent promotion of Sue Larson to Community Development Program Manager is one of four new positions created in the state for the purpose of providing technical assistance to targeted communities. Larson will be working closely with Economic Development Organizations, Small Business Development Centers, Industrial Development Authorities, Regional Planning Commissions, and local and regional public bodies to assure the development of sustainable rural communities. Larson's territory will cover approximately one-fourth of the state. Her office will be located at the USDA Service Center in Black River Falls, She will also continue to manage the Black River Falls Rural Development office, which administers the Single Family Housing Program.Larson and her husband, Rod, live in Humbird, with their two children Alex and Emily.
