Miss Grace Jewel Flood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Flood, of Humbird, and William H. Duchow, of Milwaukee, were married at Superior, Monday August 17, 1936 at 11 o’clock in the morning. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H.G. Ruggle, English Lutheran pastor of the Holy Trinity English Lutheran church of Superior.
They left immediately after the ceremony on a wedding trip into Canada and planned on going to Monroe and Milwaukee before returning to Humbird, where they will make their home. They will return about the first of the month.
The bride graduated from high school in Merrillan and spent several years in Racine, where she was in the employ of the Green Manufacturing Company. For the past four years she has been in business in Humbird, where she operates a restaurant and has a very good business catering to tourist trade. She made extensive improvements to her restaurant this summer. The groom is a native of Milwaukee and came here a year or so ago as one of the state surveyors working in the Humbird region. He went from there to Spooner but is again located at Humbird.
A wide circle of friends join in wishing them a happy and prosperous future.
