Angus A Flood, 89, of Humbird, died on Monday, September 25, 2000 at Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls.
He was born on October 5, 1910 in Alma Township, Jackson County to Wilfred "Mike" and Bessie (Thompson) Flood. He married Verna Hart on June 14, 1933 in Humbird.
He owned a Case farm implement dealership and a hardware and appliance business in Humbird. He grew potatoes in Antigo and then moved back to the Humbird area. He also owned a feedmill in Humbird and he was a potato and strawberry broker. For many years he was the town chairman of Mentor Township. he enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Verna; tow sons, Ronald Flood of Stevens Point and Larry (Rose Flood of Humbird; one daughter, Jean Ann (Herb) Held of Nekoosa; one sister Gladys Olson of Black River Falls; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Giloy.
A Memorial Service for Angus A Flood will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 30, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Humbird. The Rev. Glenn Atchison will officiate and burial of ashes will take place in Mentor Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.
The Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, is handling the arrangements. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
