David S. Noble, Mount Vernon
On December 1, 2011, David S. Noble, age 73, passed peacefully from his earthly home, near Mount Vernon, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, following a courageous battle with cancer. David was born April 7, 1938, in Westerville, Ohio, to Lawrence and Mary E. (Samuel) Noble. He graduated from Johnstown High School, Otterbein College in Westerville, with a degree in Business Administration and later earned his Master of Divinity degree at Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. David had been a resident of the Mount Vernon area since 1983.
He had been employed as an accountant-controller at Technical Rubber Company in Johnstown, served as Business Administrator for Worthington Grace Brethren Church and
School, had maintained his own private accounting firm, served for eight years as the SafetyService Director for the City of Mount Vernon and most recently served as Business Manager for Kacy Architectural Millwork, a family-owned business. David was an active member of the Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are his wife Nancy (Cooper) Noble whom he married June 26, 1960; his son Kevin (Cynthia) Noble; his daughter Linda L. Noble; grandchildren Timothy Noble, Amanda Noble and Christopher Noble and his sister Barbara J. (James) Earnest of Mount Vernon. Besides his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a grandson, William David Noble, and a sister Donna M. Noble.
Friends may call Monday, December 5, 2011, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm and Tuesday, December 6, 2011, from 10am to 11am at the Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene where funeral services will follow at 11am on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
