Lewis H Sander, age 81, of 305 Pine St., Ettrick, died Friday, Feb. 22, 1991 in Black River Falls Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1910 in Ettrick to Adolph and Daisy (Thompson) Sander. He married Gerda Oppegard on March 3, 1934 in Ettrick. The couple formerly farmed in German Coulee, rural Ettrick, until 1946 and then moved to Ettrick. He was in the implement business for a short time and then worked for the Ettrick Feed Mill until his retirement. He is survived by one son, John Sander and his wife Marilyn of Galesville; two sisters, Vergie Zeman of Melrose; and Zona Larkin of Anoka, Minn.; three grandchildren, Laurie (Kurt) Nelson of Galesville; Rhonda (Mike) Flaharty of Galesville; and David Sander of Holmen; three great-grandchildren, Andrea and Kyle Nelson; and Kaitlyn Flaharty. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Gerda in 1980; and two brothers. Burial will be in the Ettrick cemetery.
