Funeral services were held at 10 am Saturday morning at the J.L. Robinson Funeral Home for Mrs. Florence J. Carrington, 92, who died last Thursday in the Selma Sanitarium.
The Rev. Walter M. Lane of Long Beach conducted the rites and Burial was at the Floral Memorial Park.
Mrs Carrington, a native of Wisconsin, had lived in the Selma district for 84 years. She owned a candy store and did dressmaking in Selma in the 1890's. She was married to Nicholas C. Carrington in 1889 and living in the same house the rest of her life.
She was a member of the Levis family, many descendants of which still live in Selma.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nadine Stephens of Fresno; a sister, Mrs Georgia Rorden of Oakland; two grandsons, Raymond E. King of Selma and Dean R. King of Fresno; seven great grandchildren and one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
