OBITUARY: Margaret "Maggie" O'Brien (nee Beatty)
NEWSPAPER: "The Jackson Co. Journal"
DATED: 15 June 1904
Mrs. Wm. O'Brien died at her home in the third ward of this city, Sunday, June 12, 1904 of peritonitis, age about twenty-five years. The funeral was held from St. Joseph's Church in this city, yesterday morning, Rev. P. F. Garrity conducting the services. The interment was made at Trout Run Cemetery. The maiden name of the deceased was Maggie Beatty, and she was a daughter of Patrick Beatty, of the Town of Hixton. She was married to Wm. O'Brien now carrier in the rural free delivery service, and has been a resident of this city for the past several years. She was the mother of a bright boy of six years, and a wee baby just a week old. She also leaves an aged father, two brothers and a sister to mourn her early death.
(Personal Note: Maggie's Obituary lists her place of burial as Trout Run Cemetery, but she is actually buried in St. Malachy's Catholic Cemetery in Irving Township. I don't know if these two cemeteries are considered the same cemetery or not.)
