Nov 2 --Alvin Levis, 79, a native of Wisconsin and a rancher in the Kingsburg district for the last thirty seven years, died this morning at his ranch home following a lingering illness. He came to California in 1872 and settled first in Visalia coming to the Selma district in 1877.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs Lillian Levis, Kingsburg; two sons, Mahlon and Revert Levis, Pixley; two daughters, Mrs Alfred Livingston, Long Beach, and Mrs Jack Black, Kingsburg; four sisters, Mrs Florence Carrington, Selma; Mrs Georgia Rorden, Oakland; Mrs Netta Dusy, Taft and Mrs Minnie Bronson. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in the Byrne Parlors in Selma, with Rev. P.H. Hayley officiating. Burial will be in the Selma Cemetery.
