JAHALA NOBLE FORD

Jahala Noble Ford, 86, of Mayer, Ariz. died Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 2013 at Santa Fe House in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Jahala was born Dec. 11, 1926 in Shanghai, China to James Bowen Noble Sr. and Harriet Edna Thomas Noble. Her family returned to Black River Falls, Wis. and she graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1945. Jahala was industrious and held several employment positions close to her hometown as well as in Chicago and Washington, D.C. Jahala married her beloved Robert Basil Ford (Bob Ford) on Dec. 28, 1949 and they moved west and brought six children into the world.

She is survived by her sons, Chris Ford of Santa Fe, N.M. and Robert M. (Zhen Zhou) Ford of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter, Melanie (Ray) Hill of Prescott; grandsons, Clifford (Lucy) Hill of Prescott, Leon (Heidi) Ford of Anthem, Ray Hill of Denver, Colo., Robert Hill of Prescott and Hans Ford of Tucson, Ariz.; granddaughters, Brooke Ford (Mark) Reynaud of Buckeye, Ariz. and Juliet Maurer of Seattle, Wash.

Jahala was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Ford in 1971; sons Jesse Thomas Ford on Feb. 15, 1988, Doran Miguel Ford on Feb. 5, 1992 and Frank Nobel Ford on Sept. 9, 1992; as well as brothers James, David and John Noble and sister, Patricia Scofield.

Jahala suffered with progressive dementia and her personality and vast energy had been sorely missed by her family and friends. Her family wishes to express profound gratitude for the loving care provided by the staff of Sterling Ranch, Santa Fe House, the exceptional support provided by the entire team at Granite Mountain Hospice as well as her many caregivers and medical providers including Terry Barnes, NP, Joseph P. Griffin, MD and Kevin Doyle, MD.

At her own request, Jahala will be cremated and interred with her husband at Mountain View Cemetery without a service. In order to honor her life and enormous love of animals, the family requests donations be made in her name to the Yavapai Humane Society, 1625 Sundog Ranch Road, Prescott, AZ 86301.
