Especially the young citizens! This is why today in the framework of the celebration of the International Children’s Book Day (since 1967, on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, 2 April, International Children's Book Day is celebrated to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children's books) me and my mentor prepared a 45 minutes lesson with lot of interactive games and activities for the EUBookshop’s publication “You control climate change”. I believe that EUBookshop’s publications, especially those for children, are a real treasure and teachers should use them to their lessons. They cover a wide range of subjects and the most important is that they provide a European dimension on each and every of these subjects and we can realize how important that is for the construction of a strong European citizenship. Anyone interested on today’s activities? Have a look: - reading the e-book “You control climate change” - 20 “True or False” questions about the content of this publication - 5 sentences from Passive to Active voice which were connected with the content of the publication - Surfing on “You control climate change” website - Climate change quiz - “Living together” game And please allow me to introduce Milky! The new mascot that I and pupils created! Milky has got a very important message to share: “Don’t forget to drink milk everyday!”. The inspiration about Milky came from European Union’s campaign “Eat it, Drink it, Move it” and the European School Milk Program. So, Milky designed after the presentation of these two European Programs to pupils. What about you? Do you remember to drink your milk everyday?
