Great things can happen when teachers have got fresh ideas and they cooperate to turn them into reality! I was surprised when my mentor told me that Math teacher wanted to have me as an Assistant in her lesson. I couldn’t explain how it would be possible to assist her in the math lesson. Of course math is a global, common “language” but you need to know the language that pupils speak in order to give them the facts and make questions… So, I was waiting for my mentor’s instructions. And the idea of Math’s teacher was brilliant! She prepared some facts and some related questions in Slovak, my mentor translated this information for me and the pupils had to translate the questions from Slovak to English and ask me about the facts! For this mission, pupils used online lexicons and vocabularies and they managed to translate most of the questions correctly and only in 45 minutes! I enjoyed a lot this interdisciplinary lesson and I definitely recommend it! It worth and it really works!
