You don’t know about Kayakos, who live in a rainforest and about the problem that they are facing due to the farmers? Then you should read the EUBookshop’s publication “Hope for the Kayakos”. After reading this interesting story about the serious problem of deforestation and climate change, the pupils divided into two groups (Farmers, Kayakos) and they prepared some arguments which they discussed in the classroom. Also, they designed two big posters in which they wrote down their arguments using passive voice and drew some pictures from the story. In my point of view this activity is the best one because it combines many different subjects: language learning, environmental awareness, drawing, creative way of thinking and sharing ideas! It’s something new, innovative and inspiring for pupils. What about the 2nd blogging seminar? Today’s topic was how to create and organize a blog. It’s very easy to open a blog. You need only a PC, an Internet connection, an e-mail and less than 5 minutes from your time. A challenge for a new blog and I would say for all blogs, is how to organize them. I am sure that a blogger doesn’t want to have a blog which looks like a labyrinth for the visitors… This is why, I explained to the pupils about how to organize with the best way their brand-new blogs and how to find catchy and creative words or expressions for describing some of their blog’s categories. Here are some examples for my curious readers: “Home sweet home” instead of “Home”, “Say cheese” or “Smile” instead of “Photographs”, “Links to discover” or “Find your way” instead of “Links”, “Me myself and I” or “Interested on me?” instead of “About me”, “Pop corn anyone?” instead of “Videos”.
