Even from the very beginning of the day ;) Today Milky described how the organic milk gets to our homes by using the illustrations of the story “The cow and the milk” from European Commission’s website “Organic farming. Good for nature, good for you”. After this presentation, children had to make small sentences about each of the stages of how organic milk gets to us and after they had to draw the EU organic farming logo. At the end of the lesson, they saw a video about the benefits of the milk for our health and they discussed about it. On today’s highlights was the opening of “The Friends” restaurant where you could order meat, fish, tomatoes, carrots, hot dogs, sandwiches, chicken, fried fries, ice cream, yogurt, bananas, apples, cherries, pineapples, strawberries, water, orange juice, pear juice, apple juice and milkshakes! Aim of this restaurant was to help pupils learn some new words about food, drinks and desserts and the use of “I like” and “I don’t like”. First, they had a look at the menu (PowerPoint Presentation), then they said what food they like and what food they don’t like and after they worked in pairs (pupil A: Do you like …?, pupil B: Yes, I do/ No, I don’t, pupil B: Do you like …?, pupil A: Yes, I do/ No, I don’t). I have the feeling that “The Friends” restaurant helped a lot the pupils to understand better the use of the positive and the negative of the verb “like” and to learn some new words about food. Are you hungry? Why not having a look at our brand new restaurant menu? ;)
