Without any doubts I could say that for me and my mentor today was the "Let’s explore Europe" day! And this is easy to explain because from 7:00 till 14:00 we informed more than 150 pupils about Europe and European Union! So, almost half of the pupils know more about their “home” that they share with other Europeans and how a big family has been brought together by the European Union. And everyone at School was more than happy – I would say totally excited! – because today we received the gifts with the European flag from the Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia that we are going to give to pupils on Europe Day! Rulers, torches, keyrings, lanyards, yo yos, plastic balls, pens, whistles, colour pencils, mini-books with citizen’s rights in the EU! And we are expecting to receive gifts such as postcards sets, frisbees, pencil kits, cotton bags from the Directorate-General for Humanitarian Aid & Civil Protection (DG ECHO)! The children will love all these gifts! I believe that Europe Day will be a memorable day for them!
