New week – new educational programmes! Let’s start with the first one about Volunteering which is designed for Grade 8: after a video and a PowerPoint presentation about Volunteering, pupils divided into 4 groups (Government, NGOs, Centre for Volunteering, Volunteers) and their goal is to find more information about the relation between their group and the Volunteering. On the next lessons these groups will continue to search about the importance of Volunteering in our everyday life, covering different types of Volunteering. At the end of this programme, pupils’ work will be evaluated. If you are interested in implementing this educational programme to your School or if you want just some ideas to promote Volunteering to your pupils, you could download the attached document. Next programme is about Organic farming and it is for pupils of Grade 7. After finishing reading the EUBookshop’s publication “Farms are fun” pupils have to think about their own organic farm! They should prepare a drawing of their farm, a description with all the animals, the employees, the production, the marketing tools and how they promote their products. This programme would be like final project for Grade 7. You can find out more at the attached document. Today it was the last Greek lesson in which pupils revised all the vocabulary that they have been learning since the beginning of my Comenius Assistantship and they practiced the short dialogue for giving basic information about themselves (name, age, country) and what they like and don’t like. Also, they watched some video clips of kids songs after writing some words of the lyrics. Attached you will find the vocabulary that pupils have been learning since March. Why don’t you start learning Greek or Slovak? Come on! It’s (quite) easy ;)
