Studor - Overview

Abstract: Mr. George Studor will provide the introduction to the Natural Systems Working Group and its efforts to investigate and be a catalyst for including Natural Systems, living and non-living, in the documentation and application of the Systems Engineering Process. Topics will include its NSWG charter, participants, 2014 accomplishments and plans for 2015. He will provide a summary of what was learned from webinars in 2014. After that, George will introduce the exciting agenda for the two day workshop.

Bio: Mr. George Studor is the co-chair and founder of the INCOSE Natural Systems Working Group: an initiative which grew out of his NASA efforts to encourage the inclusion of natural systems, living and non-living, in the system engineering process for NASA human spaceflight. George has worked in systems engineering for NASA, flown many sensor systems in space for operational uses, managed SBIR and other technology development for Structures and Avionics. He retired from USAF in 1999 and NASA in 2013. Now, George is a consultant participating in 3 NASA technical discipline teams in the areas of in-space inspection, wireless avionics/sensors and applications of Natural Systems in Systems Engineering.
