McNamara - Primer

Abstract: A primer is a “first layer” of tools that give an introduction to an area, and lead to a deeper exploration of a topic. For a primer to work, it must adhere well to the base material (bio-inspired design). In addition, a primer must be a good start for more work in the area (systems engineering).

We will discuss the users and requirements for a primer.

Potential primer topics include:

  • Interactions between NS and SE,

  • Tools

  • Processes

  • Transformations

  • Outputs

  • Glossary

  • Applications

Additional topics will include strategies to generate the content, and visions of the completed work.
