Goering, J. Lyn Entrikin

Associate Professor of Law, Washburn University School of Law. Professor Goering served for six years on the nonpartisan professional staff of the Kansas Legislature. Upon graduation, she was a research attorney for the Kansas Supreme Court and later administrative assistant to Chief Justice Richard Holmes. Thereafter, she was a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Dale Saffels, an associate in private law practice, and an Assistant Attorney General. In 1996, the Kansas Governor appointed her to a term on the Kansas Board of Tax Appeals, where she adjudicated state and local tax disputes. In 2000, she established a solo law practice in Topeka and worked as a Senior Case Law Editor for Lexis-Nexis. Professor Goering teaches Legislation, Legal Writing, and Drafting courses and is actively involved in national and international legal writing organizations.
