Ferriz-Martínez, Miguel Ángel

His area of practice is banking and finance, including banking and commercial lending and other extensions of credit, securities and capital markets. He also has experience in project financing, foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, transactional law and general corporate. Mr. Ferriz joined the firm Baker & McKenzie in 2002. He received his Law Degree from the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey. In 1998 earned a banking and securities law qualification from the Instituto del Mercado de Valores and the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey; in 1995 he earned a qualification in International Law from the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey and the Academia Mexicana de Derecho Internacional Privado; and in 2007 he finished the Master in Teaching Law program in the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey. Since 1992 he has been professor of several courses for the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey’s law degree program, including Introduction to Law, Legal Methodology, Seminar of Mercantile Law among others. Also, he was professor of Banking Law for the Universidad de Monterrey’s Master in Law program.
