1
They are going to zion
but some are repenting
they have grown weary on the highway
2
I hear Jesus this is what he tells me
Why are you repenting? will you also leave me?
3
I know that you are my helper
I am weak without your assistance
I will fall down
4
But to whose chair would I go to if
My Creator, my helper
If I let go of you
5
You alone it does my life belongs to you
You only, anointed one
Are the Creator's child
6
You are the helper of humans
I depend on you
If you dwell in us
then not I will let go of you
POSSIBLE TUNES:
I feel like travelling on
*Repent comes from the Greek- and means to change your mind but more than that, it implies making a decision to turn around, to face a new direction. When we talk of repent we often mean to turn from sin and go towards holiness, but one can also repent of that decision and turn back toward evil- something this song begs us not to do but instead to keep on going in the right direction.
