Hello everyone, August 31,2010.
Once again we are launching the Health and Welfare spending trust.
The Trustee's discussed a way to launch this to limit the effects of a busy time of year with respect to the deadline. We decided to run it from September 1st. 2010 to August 31 2011. We also had the ability to offer a little more money this time. For a FTE. you can claim up to $200 and part time up to $100.
The application forms are in the union office so please come by and take advantage of this program.

Some of you have already been through the recent roll out sessions, some maybe not so I would like to inform you of the recent changes the company is making and how they plan to implemnet these changes. As previously communicated the company has purchased a QCM (Quality Call Management) system to allow them to have access to the information from all calls. Effectively capturing all calls and transfering the data into storage for up to three months. Our initial concerns were the most obvious could this be used for discilpline.We requested an alteration in the language as a reassurance that we believe will prevent the company from using this to discipline and they agreed to our request. The other concern is the frequency of coaching moving forward.
The Company has started testing this technology this first in Montreal and now in Vancouver. The union requested that all testing be done with agents that volunteer,the company has agreed.
The initial testing will be from random calls, this testing will be mainly calibration and seeing how this technology intergrates with total view ect.
