October 27, 2011.

Good News the shift trade calendars are here. Please come by the union office to get one. The plastic covers are in short supply so we are asking if you can recycle the plastic covers from last years calendars that would be helpful.

I just returned from my GIDIP trustee meeting in Toronto, and I am please to announce that the benefit will allow for direct deposit moving forward. We also have implemented a contact person who will guide through the process of applying for GIDIP as well as helping you with the approval process and any questions you may have.The biggest change is you will have someone here in BC to talk to about your claim instead of calling Ontario. I will have new GIDIP policy books for everyone later today please feel free to come by and grab one.

There is alot of RO being offered these days as tempting as it is remember it affects your pension and your pay,please be aware of this before you choose.
