Ingredient Amount
Water 2 gallon
Kosher salt 1 cup
Soybeans in pods,
(Edamame), fresh or frozen 1 lb.
Method
1. Bring water to a boil, add salt.
2. Add soybeans, return to boil and cook until tender, about 3 – 5 minutes.
3. Drain and shock in ice water, cool for 5 minutes
4. Drain well.
5. Transfer to bowl, sprinkle with additional salt – very lightly!
6. Place in serving bowls.
