We'll be doing a fundraiser by selling these prints of abstract pretzels. I've made nine or so of these, and we'll have our students make some more in a couple of weeks. We'll be selling the originals and we'll scan originals so that photo prints can be bought.
The photos range in price from $2 - $10, all marked up to raise money of course. This money will fund art department equipment, scholarships, and other functions. If you know our department and our kids, it's a great place to learn and we have what we need. However, if we're going to do more with what we have, then we need more funds. Our budget was cut this year, and that is fine, I know we have to make sacrifices to keep the district afloat. Every donation counts, let your voice be heard and support Freeport Fine Arts!
I'm not sure what we'll sell the originals for but if you do get an original, then lucky you. I think they're pretty fun to make, and they look a little bit more original than just a regular pretzel. The flyer's a bit low res so here's a link to the original.
Come to Freeport High School, and talk to Stacy Hartman at the attendance office, she'll be selling the prints. I'm going to try and mat the few artwork's I've already made, and there should be a few prints for sale in the coming days.
