This is a very simple project, students just take a bunch of portrait photos according to a set of conventions. They're standard composition and portrait conventions like wide shots, close ups, and action shots. All standard fare. It's meant to give students a common language so that I can say, "That's a good close up, but you might want to try a mid shot with some natural lighting." and not get confused looks. The students have fun with it, and generally take silly photos, or supplement their selection with photos they've already taken.
