In Drawing & Illustration this year, I have two sections. They kind of blur together since I don't really keep them separate in my head. Of course they're different and there's little idiosyncrasies to each of their separate student bodies. But for the most part those subtleties blend together and I'll just post them as one. That being said they're both equally and exceptionally talented classes. I'm excited to have them, and I'm able to devote my full attention to each student because they're two sections of 20 students a piece.
This first drawing set has three choices and they're all experimental drawing exercises meant to increase eye hand synchronicity. My students did exceptionally well with embracing these drawing methods, not many picked the tactile drawings but that's about what I expected. More actually picked the blind contour than what I anticipated but that's always good to see since it's by far the most applicable to this kind of thinking, that what the eye sees should be the only thing on the paper.
