Every year, Danelle puts together an Empty Bowls event. And, every year it gets better. Restaurants around town donate soups and each of her students make at least ten bowls. At the event donors pay a modest fee of ten bucks, have a simple soup based meal with bread and take home a clay bowl as a symbol of all the empty bowls of the hungry.
This year's event is this coming Saturday, March 8th from 4-7 p.m. Here's a great little write up in the Standard. Here's the Facebook event.

Here's the shirt design, shirts will be on sale: $10 for short sleeve, 12$ for long sleeve. The design was Sett's idea and I whipped it up on illustrator, kids picked the colors so don't ask.
My ten bowl contribution! I don't think I've thrown in like a good year, probably not since last year's empty bowls hahaaa
