Empty Bowls 2014 was a success, we had about 170 participants which at ten bucks a pop plus extra donations probably raised close to two thousand dollars. Woohoo! Thanks again to the Freeport Art Museum for letting us host the event there. The shirts sold well , still have some left if anybody's interested, I think its $10 for short sleeve and $15 for long sleeve. come by F.H.S. 2nd floor tech wing if you're interested. We had very little leftover soup, the only one really was the broccoli cheddar, lots of that for some reason and we also had quite a few leftover bowls which'll rollover until next year. All in all a good year, Danelle always outdoes herself raising awareness for the event, getting new donors. it runs so smoothly with her and the kids helping out. No hiccups to speak of, although we did have somebody boost our Applebee's soup which was weird... Oh well, on to chalk walk and other end of the year goodies. The Kehinde Wiley portraits will be posted soon. I'm about to get tons of those in this coming week.
