UNBEATABLE RESULTS OF OUR NON-BILINGUAL STUDENTS IN THE SELECTIVITY EXAM OF ENGLISH!!!! They already had an incredibly high mean of 7,6 in their marks in 2º Bachillerato and they have amazingly improved by 0,5 points as they have had a mean 8,1 in the Selectivity exam of English!!!!! And the median was 8,6.
As I said some time ago, here's my challenge with my non-bilingual students' results: I don't ask you to beat, just equalize it and you will get the prize: BEING THE HAPPIEST TEACHER ON EARTH!!!
And they have all passed the Selectivity exams!!!

Apart from Mª José García and Andrea Gutiérrez (4º ESO), who got their B1 in English in the Official Language School last June, another 5 students have passed their exams this September: María Béjar, Alex España, Joaquín García, Alberto Pineda & Mª Irene Ramón!!! And Guillermo Romero, who also came on our study trips, has passed his B2 in English and his B1 in French!!! Et félicitations à tous ceux qui ont réussi aussi dans leurs examens de français à l'École Officielle des Langues.
CONGRATULATIONS TO Mª José García and Andrea Gutiérrez (4º ESO) for obtaining their B1 in English in the Official Language School!!!! In September I'm sure we'll have again better news when the rest of the students who entered the exam and didn' t pass all the parts have a second chance. These are the eleven students that passed the B1: Alejandro Albertuz, Claudio López, Inés Palomino, Lola Pérez & Lucía Peinado (4º ESO) and Jorge de la O, Guillermo Briones, Alba Pineda, Mónica Prados & Carlos Álvaro Segura (2º Bachillerato) & Salvador Ortega.

Our dear Philosophy teacher, José Luis, has just discovered something about a course on writing skills organized by the University of Reading for our students in Bachillerato. It lasts 5 weeks and, the most important, it is free.

MOST INTERESTING INFORMATION ABOUT THE RESULTS OF OUR SCHOOL IN SELECTIVIDAD (June 2013):
Our students obtained an average mark in English of 7,01 (ranked 18 out of 115) while the average mark obtained in the province (Distrito Universitario) was 5,84 (where only 64,74% passed the exam).
Our students were ranked 9 out of 115 schools in the average mark obtained in all the exams in Selectivity with a difference of 1,09 points between the marks our students had in 2º Bachillerato and the ones they had in the Selectivity exams (ranked 23 out of 115 schools), which means that we had splendid results in the exams and that our school is really realiable.
ANOTHER THREE STUDENTS HAVE PASSED THEIR B1 at the official language in Motril (September 2013)
The names of the students who have passed the exam are: Elena De la O, Luz Fernández and Patricia González (2º Bachillerato). Let me know if there is someone else.

SEVEN of our students have passed the B1 at the Language School Exam (tell me if there is someone else) and their names are: Cristóbal Tarifa, Álvaro Rodríguez, Inmaculada Maldonado, Noemi De la O, David Prados (2º Bachillerato), Álvaro Lucena y Luis Molina (1º Bachillerato).

but why????
First, for the incredible results in the Language School Exam. 13 OF OUR STUDENTS (at least, tell me if there is someone else) have passed the exam and their names are: Marta Pretel (4º ESO), Pablo González, María González, Carlos López, Ana Peña, María Rodríguez, Ana Mª Rguez. Pöhnlein, Miguel Román (1º Bachillerato), Elisa Martín, Virginia Martín, José Luis Nocete, Carmen Presenta Prados, Julia Romero (2º Bachillerato), most of whom were in our school trip to Edinburgh.
Secondly, for all those students who got grants to go abroad (although in the end they won't go because of the economical cuts) and those who got grants to go to special scientific courses in universities all around Spain.
Thirdly, for the two groups of students who made a students' newspaper for El País.
And, finally, we are just looking forward to having the results our students have obtained in the Selectivity exams.
ONCE AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS AND I WISH ALL THE BEST FOR THE COMING FUTURE!!!!
