Happiness Happenings!

Happiness is Hopping at Keller Junior High:

On August 29th, 2018 Keller Students and Staff kicked off a celebration of Happiness first by learning about how people can actually train their brain to look for positives, and as a result, how looking for positives can actually make us feel happier. Not only that, but studies have proven that people who think more positivity are happier, more creative, have more friends, learn more strategies on how to overcome difficulties, and feel less frustration when encountering difficulties.

All the Keller staff members have been trained in the Hoppiness/Happiness advantage as well.

Question: How many orange frogs do you see around the building during your day?

Challenge: For each frog you find, find something you are happy or grateful for.

The Happiness advantage training also ties in well with the new Social-Emotional Learning Curriculum School District 54 has begun to implement as well. The next lesson will be to write a letter of gratitude to someone who has had a positive influence in your life.

Click and submit a letter (or quick note of gratitude) to another staff or student member to be published in the next Keller Stellar Newsletter: Positive Shout Out
