Pockets Of Poetry

He Didn’t
If he missed me,
he would’ve called.
If he wanted me,
he would’ve said it.
If he cared for me,
he would’ve showed it.
But, he didn’t, so I knew
he wasn’t worth the time.
Reasons
Life gave me
a hundred reasons to cry.
But I showed life
that I have more reasons to smile.
Regrets
I regret my past.
full of hurt.
But I look back
and smile.
For without my past,
I wouldn’t be who I am today.
Survivor
A guy asked a woman ,
"How do you hold your head
up high?"
She smiled and said,
"No matter what I went through,
I’m a survivor, not a victim.":
Attitude
I had, and still have, a bad attitude.
It blocked love, blessings, and
destiny’s way of finding me.
But I try not to be
the reason I’m not succeeding.
Lion
You don’t expect
a lion to not eat you,
because you didn’t eat him.
So you won’t expect people
To treat you fairly because
You’re fair. That’s what I learned!
Two Things
When He pushes you
to the end,
trust him fully.
He’ll either catch you
when you fall,
or he’ll teach you how to fly.
And I flew.
Sunflower
I used to be just a girl with demons,
but now I’m a sunflower.
So even on the darkest days,
I still try to stand tall,
and search
for the light of the sun.
Same
They laughed
because I was different.
I laughed
because they're all the same.
I Am
I am strong
because I faced weakness.
I am fearless
because I was afraid
I am wise
because I was a fool.
Too Much
Trust too much.
Love too much.
Hope too much.
I loved someone too much,
but he showed me
he'd hurt me so much.
End Of The Day
At the end of each day,
I always find hope and strength.
Hope that things will get better.
Strength to hold on and be strong until they do.
Elated Was Born From Melancholy
We were born to love happiness.
Never wanted pain.
But a rainbow always comes
With a lot of rain.
Ocean
I was afraid to go beyond the ocean.
It took years;
yet I learned,
that if you are brave enough
to lose sight of the shore
then you’re ready
to cross the ocean.
Words
Careful with words.
Once spoken,
they can be forgiven,
but never forgotten.
Jealous
I learned not to hate
the ones who are jealous.
I respect their jealousy now.
They’re people who think
that you are
far better than them.
Trash
What do people even do
to be talked about like trash?
When most should be treated
like treasure?
Poetry Is My Power
When bullets of hurt and sadness hit
poetry regenerates me.
Poetry made me bulletproof,
giving me nothing to lose.
Unconditional Love

"Unconditional, unconditionally I will love you unconditionally. There is no fear now Let go and just be free. I will love you unconditionally!" -Katy Perry in her song, Unconditionally.
Love, love, love. We always hear that word, but do we know what it really means? To some, it is just family love: a brother, a sister, parents and so on. Some might take love as weakness. It is possible for them to think love is weak from fear of having loved someone and having that person break their heart. Some take love as a self love- “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”— Lucille Ball. To me, love means a romantic feeling towards someone I love unconditionally from any gender.
If love means different things to different people, then why would someone make fun of you for who you like? If a guy loves guys or if a girl loves girls, some judge. That is not fair . And even people who say it is okay to love who want, still label them as gay, lesbian, or even bi. If we accept people for who they like, and who they are, we shouldn't label them, instead we should know that they are just loving unconditionally.

Small, But It Is Poetry

Hope is confidence
Achievement …… gives us this confidence and hope ,
Which is strong as a metal rope.
Then when we fail our goal we feel down
And in our thoughts we drown.
Don’t lose hope .
Hope is strong , it makes us we achieved something ,
While we are jumping in our pride.
Don’t lose hope .
It is strong as rock , softer than a feather
We stand strong ….
But we will stay strong.
Forever
Two roads one path
As i walk through a path i have never used,
Two roads diverged,
In my thoughts i was submerged .
There were two paths ,
The path that has a destination or the path that has a endless route.
What path should i choose?
It is making me confuse!
I chose the path that has a destination.
And i was relieved.
If i have chosen the path that has a endless route,
I would have waken endlessly.
Stars
As I gaze at the midnight sky ,
The stars look like fireworks in the fourth of July .
As the stars shone bright ,
Like tiny points of light,
Which makes me excite.
As I wonder how stars shine,
I could hear tiny bells chime.
I imagine myself flying through the galaxy,
When he sun gleamed at my face ,
I understood it was not a dream …...
but a fantasy.

Wolves
Their paws beat strong against the snow
Cool breath a steady pace,
Their mind abuzz with where to go
Snow falling ‘cross their face.
Past many towns their tight pack roams
Through valleys near and far
They see the whole world as all their homes,
Chasing by the reservoir.
Pounding through the forest
All the creatures turn their heads
Fauna from a florist,
Creeping up the riverbeds
Thick and thin their tracks,
The marks they leave behind
They just can’t double back
Lives too far intertwined
