This treat is great for you and a loved one or just to eat by yourself. Remember, this will be there until it’s gone, but then you can make more!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick; softened)
- 1/4 cup regular salted butter (1/2 stick; softened)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Chocolate chips (as much as desired)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Cream together butter and sugar
- Add in eggs and vanilla
- In a separate bowl combine all dry ingredients
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, minus the chocolate chips
- Once dough is formed, mix in chocolate chips by hand
- Chill dough for about 10 minutes
- Once chilled, place in a large skillet
- Flatten out so it is even around all edges
- Bake until golden brown
- Remove and cool
- Decorate with frosting and sprinkles if desired

Ingredients (makes one milkshake):
- 1 ½ cups vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 10 drops green food coloring
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- Whipped cream
- Maraschino cherry
Instructions:
- In a blender combine vanilla ice cream, milk, food coloring, and peppermint extract until smooth (about 30 seconds)
- Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream and cherry
- Place a straw inside the glass and enjoy!
*Yes, you could just get this shake from McDonald’s, but there's just something better about it being homemade.
