  7. Decorate with black icing for the eyes and mouth and orange for the nose.
  8. Enjoy!

This recipe is easy to make and delicious to eat! You can change the icing color and make it into a different character, depending on what season you are in. For Halloween, you can do a ghost, a zombie, or even a pumpkin! For Thanksgiving, you can do a turkey. For Valentine's Day, you can do a heart and you can shape it after you make your pop. Have fun making and eating these delectable treats!

All-American Potato Chips

By: Krystina T.

Looking for a yummy snack to munch on while waiting for guests on Thanksgiving or maybe a quick, no mess snack to eat while traveling over the break? Well, here's an easy snack to make, potato chips!

The items you will need to make this crunchy snack are: a potato or potatoes, salt, a microwave, a plate, something to cut/peel the potatoes on, and cooking spray (optional).

  • The first step to making this mouth watering snack is to peel and cut the potatoes as thinly as possibly (the thinner they are, the faster they will cook).
  • Once they are cut as thinly as possible, place them on a plate. If you want an easier time taking the chips off the plate, spray it with the cooking spray.
  • Then, place the salt on top of the potato slices.
  • Put them in the microwave for about three minutes. If they look soggy, still like the potato chip slices, or they are not cooked after the three minutes are up, place them back into the microwave for two more minutes.
  • Keep taking them out to check and put them back in until they are crisp and not soggy.

Eat them straight from the plate or place them in a baggie for that on-the-go snack! I hope your stomach growls for this all-American classic.
