Wire Sculpture

The subject of my creation is a bat stuffed animal that I transformed into a wire sculpture. I used wire and pliers to create my artwork. I chose to create this artwork because I thought it would be easier, especially because this project is hard and look cool. I used shape with the wires to create the bat and movement with the wires because it is 3D and some part move, (not completely intentional.)

Some composition rules and techniques I used include, grouping because I combined the shapes together to make the bat, and framing with the wire around to create shapes. Throughout the project it evolved because at first I wasn’t going to add facial features because the project was already hard enough but I decided to so it would look more like something.

The story behind this artwork is a bat that looks different from normal bats, and not all bats look the exact same. This relates to my life because I got it from my friend. One way I would revise this is by trying to make it look more like a bat or just picking something easier to create.
