Mixed Media

The assignment for this project was to take a picture of something and draw it with ink, charcoal and graphite. I combined ink and water and painted on a base with it. I then used graphite to construct the dog and charcoal above the dog. I paid very close attention to the value and shadow on the dog and the wall and I also tried to make the picture as detailed as possible.

I did this project because I wanted to finish up with these medias. I had used ink, graphite and charcoal in previous projects but I wanted to combine my skills with these medias and make one final product.

I also learned how to use the medias together which will be helpful in future pieces of art.
