For these pieces of art, our assignment was to do four different pictures. One a self portrait, one of a object I use in everyday life, one of my hand in an interesting position and the last of a hallway of sorts with proper perspective. For the subjects of my pieces, I drew a pencil for my everyday object, half of my face for my self portrait, my hand with a moon in the background for my interesting position one and my house hallway for the perspective piece.

For all these pieces, I used colored pencils, markers and graphite. I used these because I felt they fit for the detail necessary for this piece. I chose to create this specific artwork because I felt like these things created were the things that matched the criteria of the project the most. A pencil was the perfect thing because I use it routinely and I had it right there with me. I chose this certain hallway because It was a hallway that was straight and had a good door to draw my perspective lines to. For these pieces, I used techniques like silhouette lighting and much more. For my hand picture, I used silhouette lighting because I felt like it fit the piece best. Drawing the hand really dark would be unrealistic and it put al the focus on the hand. With the technique I used, you notice the stars in the background and it looks better in my opinion.

These pieces evolved from originally pieces with just the necessary criteria, to pieces with color and background. With these backgrounds, the objects fit better and there is no solid white behind them. Overall, I am happy with these pieces and I look forward to learning more that would help me improve them in the future.
